Empathy, Intercultural Dialogue and Communication
In an increasingly interconnected world, the ability to engage in meaningful dialogue across cultures is more important than ever. This interactive session invites participants to explore how empathy can serve as a foundation for effective intercultural communication and collaboration.
Through short presentations, small group discussions, and reflective activities, we will examine what culture means, how it shapes our perceptions, and why understanding perspectives different from our own is essential. We will introduce the cultural iceberg model to unpack the visible and invisible aspects of culture, and explore real-life examples of inclusive dialogue in action—particularly in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
