Profile

Premjai Vungiriphisal has a Ph.D. in Development Education from Chulalongkorn University and an M.A. in Public Health Culture from Mahidol University, Thailand. After 10 years of working with non-government organizations on rural development, women and social development, she joined the Asian Research Center for Migration. She has over 25 years of research experience on migration issues, especially on migrant and refugee children, labor migration, and migration and well-being. Her recent research was labor migration and integration, trafficking prevention for migrant children, migrant children’s education and border development. In addition to research, she has long experience working with several grassroots organizations, including migrant workers organizations, civil society organizations, and policymakers.
