Asst. Prof. Dr. Noppadon Kitana

Dr. Noppadon Kitana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. Dr. Kitana received a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Zoology in 1994 and 1998, respectively, from Chulalongkorn University, followed by an M.A. in Biology in 2002 and a Ph.D. in Biology in 2005 from Boston University, USA.
Dr. Kitana’s research interests include reproductive biology, comparative endocrinology, conservation biology, and ecotoxicology. He is involved in several research projects and grants, focusing on areas such as biosentinel research and the ecophysiology of amphibians and reptiles. He has published numerous articles in renowned scientific journals and has contributed to book chapters.
Currently, Dr. Kitana serves as the Director of the Center of Learning Network for the Region (CLNR) at Chulalongkorn University. This office facilitates the university’s engagement in regional areas, including Nan and Saraburi provinces. The CLNR provides essential infrastructure, bridges local knowledge with university expertise through research and knowledge transfer, drives social engagement practices, and supports student participation in related activities, all contributing to the university’s strategic path toward sustainability.
