Mr. Mohd Shahmi Hakimi is a Research Officer at the Glami Lemi Biotechnology Research Centre, where he serves as the on-site supervisor. He specializes in animal biotechnology, with a focus on small ruminant reproduction (assisted reproductive technologies) and animal nutrition. Mr. Hakimi holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Biotechnology and a Master of Science (Research) from Universiti Malaya. His current research focuses on evaluating the effects of climate change on small ruminant reproduction and conducting extensive studies on the dietary patterns of poultry and rabbits. In his role, Mr. Hakimi collaborates closely with industry partners internally and internationally, offering valuable insights and expertise to advance research in these critical fields. He has also made significant contributions to the development of enhancement methods for the Universiti Malaya Barbados Blackbelly breeding program, one of the most prolific breeds in the country.
