Dr. Nur Hairani Abd Rahman is a Senior Lecturer in Public Policy and Administration, contributing her expertise to Universiti Malaya since 2017. At the national level, Dr. Nur Hairani is appointed as a Field Expert of the Malaysian Research and Development Classification System (MRDCS) by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI). Her expertise extends to consultancy roles for projects focused on poverty eradication, funded by the Economic Planning Unit of the Government of Malaysia.

Her international experience includes a stint as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Messina, Sicily, Italy. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Dr. Nur Hairani was honored with the Fulbright Scholar Program award in 2023, securing a position as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, United States.
