Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tharani Loganathan

Tharani Loganathan is a Public Health Medicine Specialist and Associate Professor of Global Health at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, University of Malaya. She is the programme coordinator for the Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) programme and the course coordinator for Global Health, Global Health Leadership, and Law and Health modules in the MPH programme. Tharani serves on the Universiti Malaya Research Ethics Committee (UMREC) and the Faculty of Medicine’s Ethics Consultative Service for Marginalised Populations (FOM-ECSMP) steering committee. Her research focuses on the health and broader determinants of health for vulnerable populations, particularly migrants, and she collaborates closely with local civil society and international organizations to find actionable solutions. Additionally, Tharani is a Senior Atlantic Fellow for Health Equity in Southeast Asia.
