Teamwork for global citizenship has begun!

The pioneering cohort of students in the APRU SDG4GC program have embarked on an interactive learning journey through mentorship and teamwork.

Following an orientation that took place on November 1-2, 2022, the group was divided into teams of 6-8 students of diverse backgrounds from multiple APRU member universities. The teams are guided by eight experienced mentors. The Lead Mentors are:

Mr. David Galipeau (SDGx),
Dr. Kun Qian (Kyushu University),
Ms. Iihan Abdullahi (Simon Fraser University),
Dr. Qian Wang (Shanghai Jiao Tong University),
Mr. Savinda Ranathunga (UNDP),
Dr. Jaime Jayapalan (Universiti Malaya),
Dr. Elsie Tsui (The Chinese University of Hong Kong),
Dr. Ronnakorn Vaiyavuth (Chulalongkorn University).

In communicating with one another closely, the students are exposed to a diverse range of cultures while working together on an intercultural team. They learn and work together in group sessions, which are held between the program workshops on core themes. This provides them with a platform to develop project prototypes that address the challenges of societies across the globe.
