Ms. Theerada Suphaphong
- Thailand Country Representative, Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD)
Ms. Theerada “Jan” Suphaphong is the Thailand Country Representative and Senior Program Manager at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD), a Geneva-based organization dedicated to conflict prevention and resolution worldwide.
Ms. Suphaphong’s extensive experience in peace mediation and humanitarian-centered public policy process have significantly contributed to peacebuilding efforts in Thailand and the broader region. In addition to her mediation work, she has contributed to research and actions on climate change governance in Thailand, focusing on nature-based solution and conflict-sensitive climate change adaptation approach.
Her work involves facilitating dialogues at multiple levels and engaging with political actors, policymakers, victim groups, and civil society to build common ground on violence prevention.
For the past two decades, Ms. Suphaphong has also held positions in project management and research with organizations such as the Thai Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Myanmar Caucus, the House of Representatives of Thailand’s Committee on Political Development and People’s Participation.
Ms. Suphaphong earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon in 1996. She then pursued a Master of Arts in International Development Studies at Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Political Science in Thailand in 2008.
